Watched this again for the first time since elementary school.  Great movie, but now I’m starting to pick up on the complexities.  Before, I simply thought the dad (Robin Williams) is the good guy and the mom (Sally Field) is bad for breaking up their family, but it really was because he had made her out to be the disciplinarian while he was the “fun guy” who the kids could be buddies with.  While he had a heart of gold towards the kids, he wasn’t a good husband.
